Spitspunt: The Village We Serve
A Small Village with Big Challenges — and Bigger Potential
Tucked away in the rural heart of Limpopo, Spitspunt is home to a resilient and close-knit community. It’s a place where families look out for one another, children play barefoot in the dust, and hope quietly survives beneath the weight of poverty.
While beautiful and full of heart, Spitspunt faces deep, daily challenges:
Unemployment is high, leaving many homes without a steady income.
Food insecurity is common, especially among children and elderly caregivers.
Crèches and primary schools lack basic resources — from classroom materials to nutritious meals.
Access to healthcare, water, and social support remains limited.
But this village is more than its hardships. Spitspunt is where the Mampana Foundation was born — and where its purpose is deeply rooted. Every programme we run, every child we reach, every meal we serve — it all starts right here.
We believe rural communities deserve more than charity. They deserve investment, dignity, and long-term commitment. That’s what we’ve pledged to Spitspunt — not a short-term fix, but a partnership built on love, service, and action.
Together with local leaders, families, and supporters like you, we’re working to restore hope, build resilience, and shape a better future — one child, one household, one crèche at a time.
